Our PilexProTM series is a super solid and flexible screw foundation series designed for slightly larger construction projects of up to 3 floors. The innovative, sustainable and solid screw foundations are produced in 100% steel and hot-dip galvanized for long life. GroundPlug® steel foundations were originally designed for the rail and road industry and today are available in many different sizes for both private construction projects and larger industrial projects.

What are the benefits of GroundPlug® Screw Foundations compared to concrete foundations?
GroundPlug® Screw Foundations have a number of advantages compared to concrete foundations:
- GroundPlug® Screw Foundations are much faster to install than concrete foundations.
- GroundPlug® foundations require no drying time – small projects are finished the same day.
- Installation of GroundPlug® foundations requires no prior excavation work – only minimal disturbance on site.
- Production, transport, and installation of GroundPlug® foundations is cheaper and emits far less CO2 than concrete foundations.
- GroundPlug® steel foundations can be easily removed and reused in other projects.
- GroundPlug® steel foundations can be installed in all kinds of weather – even in frost or rain.
How many GroundPlug® PilexProTM Screw Foundations should I use for my project?
There are various parameters that determine how many GroundPlug® PilexProTM Screw Foundations you need for your project. It can, for example, be your beam construction, soil conditions or the weight and height of your construction.
You have three options to find out how many foundations you need for your project:
- Get free engineering service of your particular project without any binding contract.
- For standard decking projects, you can use our deck designer.
- Use our tables for both terraces, wooden houses and pole structures to estimate your project.
What is the construction process like with GroundPlug® PilexProTM as a foundation choice?
- Preliminary calculation of the project. When you have filled in as many project details as possible in our project form and have attached drawings and a geotechnical report, we will pre-calculate the project and prepare an offer for you. Depending on where in the project phase you are and how precise information we can get, the final price may vary more or less from the offer.
- When you accept the offer, if necessary, more detailed documentation and calculation will be prepared for final approval/building application.
- When we agree on the scope of the task, we send our competent installation team out to the construction site. If you have not chosen to be responsible for this part yourself, we clear and plan to the extent necessary and measure and set aside foundation points. We may possibly also provide LER drawings.
- The PilexProTM foundations are then screwed into the ground. . We typically install with an 8 tonne excavator. We always have extra extension pieces and alternative products with us, should we risk encountering unknown conditions or challenges in the ground. In this way, we can quickly solve the problem and obtain sufficient foundations, so that you avoid delays in the construction process.
- When all foundations have been installed and fitted with the desired top bracket, we clear the site and are now ready for the further construction process immediately.
- Any additional documentation can be provided upon request.
