GroundPlug® TwisterTM Screw Piles are the perfect foundation choice for wooden and composite decks in all shapes and sizes. Using GroundPlug® TwisterTM Foundations for decks, you will be able to plan and complete your deck project fast, easy and cost-effectively. 5 easy steps to a post construction

Set a spade in the ground where your post should be located. Move the spade a little back and forth.
Screw your GroundPlug® TwisterTM Foundation into the ground. The location of the foundation should correspond to the center of your post.
Place the GroundPlug® TwisterTM Post bracket on top of the foundation and move it into the ground with a hammer. Use a piece of wood between your hammer and the stabilizer to avoid damaging the galvanization.
Mount the GroundPlug® TwisterTM Post bracket to the foundation.
Mount the post in the GroundPlug® TwisterTM Post bracket.

GroundPlug® TwisterTM Foundations give you the freedom to design exactly the shed you have in mind. As our foundations come in many different sizes and lengths, it is possible to always choose the most effective and suitable foundation for each individual shed project.

  • GroundPlug® TwisterTM Foundations are suitable for many kinds of soil – from loose sand to stiff clay.
  • No limits due to terrain – easy installation in
    difficult accessible areas or on sloped terrain.
  • Installing GroundPlug® Screw Pile Foundations is also possible in frost or rain.

GroundPlug products for decks

The most common GroundPlug® solutions for decks are screw piles belonging to our M12-series. For decks on flat ground and with only little terrain distance, GroundPlug® TwisterTM M12/600mm are the perfect foundations. You should, however, be aware of several parameters when choosing the foundations for your deck.

GroundPlug products for sheds

Our M16 series contains the most common GroundPlug® TwisterTM Foundations for sheds. For a shed on flat ground you will typically use a GroundPlug® TwisterTM M16/750mm or M16/1000mm foundation, depending on the size of the shed and the terrain distance, amongst others. Additionally, you will typically install a GroundPlug® TwisterTM M16 Stabilizer in each corner for extra stability and resistance against wind loads. Please be aware that several parameters (like height or soil condition, for example) can have influence on which kind of foundations you will need for a shed.
